No sound through soundbar
« on: December 01, 2015, 11:46:40 PM »
I have a Philips HTL4110B Soundbar connected through HDMI ARC to my TV. Sound from all of my video devices (PS4, HDX media player, cable tv decoder) works fine on the soundbar through ARC. When I connect the Cood-e, soundbar stops working and the built-in TV speakers start to emit sound instead. It happens even when the video output is set for instance on PS4: as soon as I plug in the Cood-e, the sound from ps4 through soundbar stops and the TV speakers start to work instead.

I would appreciate any help and advice on how to solve it so that I can enjoy the sound from soundbar when Cood-e is on...

ARC uses aspects of CEC, letting you adjust the volume on a soundbar,
The Cood-e media player doesn't support CEC function  and I think that will be the main reason your sound bar isn't working.
No CEC means no ARC...?
But I'm no expert so I could be wrong... But I'm pretty sure this will be the reason your soundbar isn't working when playing media from your Cood-e device..
