Spotify
« on: August 19, 2015, 10:52:40 PM »
Hi guys!

I'm just leaving this here: if anyone got Spotify working on the Cood-E (or any relevant info about it), please share it here so we can all benefit! I'm especially curious about solutions that don't use libspotify (since it's a deprecated library), and add-ons that implement Spotify Connect functionality.

Info i found so far
GitHub repo about reverse engineering the Connect protocol

I found this link on youtube explaining how to install Spotify on KODI.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7JfBdjOG8U

Did not try yet, but will do tonight!
Audio Add-on Fix: http://bit.ly/2eaFI8i (LINK UPDATED)
Backup link: http://www65.zippyshare.com/v/WuhE1fYJ/file.html

Setting -> Addons -> Install by ZIP

Works up to v1.25 with original COOD-E firmware

Thanks for the tip! Let us know how that goes. I tried it before, but couldn't really get it to work because i got stuck while trying to get libspotify (a deprecated API, by the way!) to work.

In the meantime, see here: http://forum.cood-e.com/index.php?topic=58.0
I explain how to stream Windows sound (including Spotify music!) to your Cood-E really easily using Airplay and only free software.

An additional tip for people who want to stay on the default COOD-E skin, but still want to have access to Android apps; install the Confluence++ skin as suggested by user aln; install the Android apps you want and add them to Favorites. Then change back to the default COOD-E skin and use the Favorites section on top to access your apps.
