Yes, it is the great good format , but with CPU Amlogic and KODI 16.0 an above, the player not working good. Best Kodi is 15.2 - that is working.

I pretty much only watch HEVC on this - followed coert's tutorials to install Kodi 16.0 and removed the coode version. The only issue is sometimes, the audio is a little out of sync, but that's an easy fix. Takes about 5 seconds to get it in sync then the rest of the movie/show plays brilliantly.

In last FW (1.2.5) on COOD-E play HEVC files good.

16 is working just fine if you set the audio synchronization 0.225s earlier and set it as standard for all media.
HEVC/H.265. Codec works just fine.
And if it's not working for you try a clean install of Kodi.
You say. HEVC/H.265 on amlogic CPU and kodi 16.0 isn't working together well thats just bullsh*t because am logic is fully supported  by Kodi !
And Yes the s805 CPU included also in Jarvis
Believe in yourself because if you don't no one does..!!
