In user Vekia's signature is the following text, maybe that helps:

Audio Add-on Fix: http://bit.ly/2eaFI8i (LINK UPDATED)
Backup link: http://www65.zippyshare.com/v/WuhE1fYJ/file.html

Setting -> Addons -> Install by ZIP

Works up to v1.25 with original COOD-E firmware

There was supposed to be a manual in the box, but i didn't get it either. Someone posted a photo of it on these forums a while ago, but it's gone :(

Sorry, i forgot the key-combo needed to activate pairing mode, it was something with two buttons at the same time for a couple of seconds. Sadly the QSG on the website links to the wrong file:
http://www.cood-e.com/downloads.html

I'm afraid i can't be of any help, but surely someone else on these forums must remember the key combo!

Maybe the movie you tried to play has an audio stream that isn't supported by the box?
Or if you use passthrough, maybe your tv doesn't support it..

Hi Court,

Good thing you found out!

Is this difficult to do?
I suspect you need root to do it?

Software / Re: Lost my settings after every device update

Hi, well it look like there won't be any more updates since the last one was from january 2016.
Settings aren't supposed to be lost after a power outage!

I must admit that i found the performance quite lacking out-of-the-box, and some features are lacking, but overall it worked quite well. I must also admit that, with the Confluence++ skin and access to the play store (giving me Spotify Connect and updates to the Kodi app), the device seems to be quicker and smoother, and now it works perfectly for me. Still very happy with the purchase; i won't be looking for another mediabox in the near future :D

Edit: also i'm fully happy because of the plugin your friend and you made :D

You can do it yourself! Follow the below instructions at your own risk (you'll lose all settings etc) to get the normal version of Kodi from the Play Store. It can also update right away if newer versions become available.

- First download and install confluence++ skin for helix and apply it.
- From the home menu go to android apps.
- Go to play store. There you can login with your google account and download apps just like on your smartphone or tablet.
- Download any third party launcher (apex launcher would do fine).
- Press the home button on the remote. A pop up menu will appear asking which launcher you would like to start (XBMC Start or the third party launcher you installed). Select the third party launcher.
- From the launcher go to system settings, select apps, kodi and uninstall it.
- Go to play store, search for kodi, install it and you' re good to go.

P.S.
1) Do the above procedure at your own risk, as I read here at the forum that doing so may brick your unit. It worked for me though.
2) As I wrote above I did this procedure without rooting the device. It worked for me but from what I read here at the forum others cannot uninstall kodi at all. This means the device must be rooted first. Again if you decide to do so, do it at your own risk as rooting an android device may not have always the same result. It may brick the unit.

I don't know of any plugin, but if you use the Confluence++ skin, you can enter the Google Play Store and install normal Android apps. Have you tried that?

Is it with all bluetooth devices? Or just with the bluetooth remote? Because i had problems with the keyboard-remote (operates via bluetooth), returned it and got it back fully repaired, no problems now.
